ETALON Manufacturing

ETALON Manufacturing Works is a company of SMP Group that performs contract manufacturing of electronic devices. Its major task is mass production of electronic devices developed by SMP Engineering.

Technologies implemented at ETALON Manufacturing conform with IPC standards and allow for mass production at current state of technology. The manufacturing works complies with ISO 9001 requirements at all production stages — from delivery of components to output and 100% testing of products.

Production Line

ETALON Manufacturing uses Fuji equipment for PCB assembly. This is the first and currently the only production line of this top world producer of manufacturing equipment installed in Russia. This high-performance equipment carries out automated printed circuit assembly at 70000 components per hour.

The works is equipped with two surface mounting lines and a reflow soldering line. Both surface-mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT) are supported.

We also use convection ovens by Heller for soldering in nitrogen atmosphere and mounting palladium-containing components.

The installed high-precision equipment can mount elements of 0201 standard size in finePitch and microBGA packages.

Currently we are in the process of implementing the Axapta resource planning solution from Microsoft.

Production Quality and Standards

Assembly quality is monitored at every stage using Orbotech equipment to execute 3D-inspection of application of paste, detection of missing components and high-speed automated optical inspection (AOI). This equipment successfully performs in-circuit and functional inspection of loaded boards.

Starting 2006, ETALON Manufacturing works only with lead-free materials and strictly follows RoHS directives. As mentioned above, we also adhere to the ISO 9001 quality standard.

Personnel

Engineers of ETALON Manufacturing who work with board assembly received intense training in Japan and China. All of them are certified engineers and have broad experience with equipment by different manufacturers.
